Life is Grand Sometimes

We were taking my sister back to college in Winona yesterday. When, yes, our car broke down. Transmission fail. Right there on the road in Winona. Stuck in the Visitor's Center parking lot by the lake.

Isn't life grand?

Luckily, my brother goes to school at Winona State and has a truck. So we had to get a ride from him to actually drop my sister back off at St. Mary's, call a tow truck to have the car towed back to Rochester and to our repair shop, and have my brother drive us back to Rochester.

We will be stuck car-less for, oh, probably 3-ish days. In a city with decent public transportation that might not be too big an issue. However, Rochester = horrible public transportation.
