Oh The Places You'll Go

Summer means vacation for a lot of people. But not for this girl (at least until she brings in the moolah after getting a job!). So for mostly my pleasure, but maybe yours too, I've decided to bring you a list of my want-to-visit destinations: USA version, since, you know, I've never left this continent.

Wilmington, North Carolina
one tree hill and dawson's creek were filmed here. as was a walk to remember. how cool would it be to go on a one tree hill tour? historical district and riverwalk. battleship north carolina. orton plantation. cape fear river. wrightsville beach.

New Orleans, Louisiana
mardi gras. french quarter. beignets at cafe du monde. haunted history tours. hurricane katrina history. drinking hurricanes.

Seattle, Washington
space needle. the gum wall (totally didn't know this, but how much do you want to see this now?!). the original starbucks. pike place market. underground tour. voodoo donuts (okay, so this is in portland..).

Santa Monica, California
santa monica pier. ending destination of route 66. visit a friend who now lives here. muscle beach. pacific coast highway. nearby los angeles. urth caffe. third street promenade. cabo cantina. beach.

Washington, DC
vietnam veteran's memorial. lincoln memorial and reflecting pool. library of congress. holocaust museum. washington national cathedral. jefferson memorial. ford's theatre. tidal basin. national mall. washington monument. white house. georgetown cupcake.

Savannah, Georgia
Tybee Island, Georgia
the last song made me add it. historical district. first girl scout headquarters (on my honor i will try...). lighthouses. beach.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
carolina opry. boardwalk. mini golf. beach (do you sense a theme here?).

Austin, Texas
esther's follies. congress avenue. paramount theatre. sixth street. austin city limits. stubb's bbq. gourdoughs.

Tishomingo, Oklahoma
hello, miranda and blakey. the pink pistol. ......yeah, that's about the only reason this is on the list.

Chicago, Illinois
i went here in 9th grade for a band/choir trip when i was 15 and the only pictures i have are from hanging out inside the hotel. because i was stupid. and because the only places we went were michigan avenue, the theatre where we watched phantom of the opera, and old country buffet. lame.

navy pier. sears tower. the art institute. michigan avenue. million dollar quartet. millenium park. lake michigan. wrigley field. buckingham fountain. crown fountain. soldier field. chicago-style pizza. portillos. nonna silvias (okay, so this is outside chicago, who cares). oh and this girl happens to live here and i think me + her could equal a blast.

Salt Lake City, Utah
mormon temples. tabernacle choir. olympic cauldron park.

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
dixie stampede. country tonite theater. titanic museum. old mill square. dollywood. dinner shows. smoky mountains.

Nashville, Tennessee
this is a given, since i talk about it all the time. everything.

Hope you enjoyed my trip around the country! Maybe you found something you want to do! Is there anything I've left out that I need to add??

  4. Wilmington is such a charming town. It's so pretty there but Savannah,GA has my heart. I fell in love with that town the moment I got there. Myrtle Beach is usually our summer vacation spot. I live only a few hours away from Myrtle Beach and Savannah.
