Weekend in Review

 

My weekend consisted of a lot of little things that kept me entertained :)

Friday:

As I left you with on Friday morning in Friday's Letters, my cousin, Marissa, was in labor at the hospital having her second baby! We found out the news early afternoon on Friday that she had another baby boy!

 

His name is Grayson Robert. Born on August 17th (exactly 1 month before his big brother, Elliot's birthday!). He was born at 10:23am & weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz & was 19.5 inches long. I can't wait to meet the little guy the next time I'm in town!!

Friday night, my family went out to Fiesta Cafe for some Mexican food & Margaritas for Hannah's going-away party since she leaves for college on Saturday. Did I ever mention how much I LOVE Margaritas?

Saturday:

My mom, Hannah, & I went to the mall because Macy's had a set of cookware on sale for $39. And I definitely needed new pots and pans! Our mall also just opened up a Forever 21, so you know we had to go in there! It is HUGE! They had the cutest necklaces and a purse I am in love with, but am broke so I didn't end up getting anything.

I also had a hair appointment that morning, so I spent 2 hours at the salon getting it foiled (more blonde & a copper color for fall) and I got it cut above my shoulders for the first time in probably 3 years? I love it, but I definitely don't love the picture I took right after because I look like a scrub.

 

The rest of the day I spent picking up a few of my groceries I still needed for school, grilling out, and then Hannah & I made the trip out to Fashion Bug to see if they had any good sales since they are going out of business. That was a fail. They didn't have any deals at all!

Sunday:

My cousin, Samantha, turned 9 yesterday & their family was in town so we had a little birthday celebration at my aunt & uncle's house. We ate cake, chatted with my cousin about her trip to NYC, and played cornhole. No pictures were taken. Boo.

But I did take these pictures of my Grandma's lilies after we got home!

Side note: Tomorrow I will post my Nursing School Vlog that I've been talking about. I recorded it yesterday & forgot refuse to watch it back because of the total awkwardness of talking to a webcam.
