It's the freakin' weekend, baby I'm about to have me some fun

Yes, this blog title is from Ignition by R. Kelly. It was playing on the radio Saturday & I hadn't heard it in forever! My weekend essentially felt like it started Thursday at 5, so we shall start there!

Thursday
I had my job interview at 4pm. It lasted about an hour and, as most of you may know, I was offered a PT Evenings RN job at this particular nursing home.

After the interview, we went out for happy hour for my mom's birthday! So much fun! It's always a good time when my family + my aunt & uncle go to Wildwood. Beers are 2-4-1 & I may have taken that offer up twice. As in 4 beers. As in definite tipsiness going on. And worth every. last. sip. I also had their yummy, yummy chicken nachos. Mouth-watering I tell ya!

 Friday

I ran with Josh & my grandma to pick up some last minute groceries for Easter.

Then Hannah, my mom, & I went to a plus-size consignment shop in Rochester called Size It Up. I usually can't really find anything there because it's not really my style, but I found a brown zip-up puff vest on sale for $7.50 & a layered tank & cropped shirt on sale for $7. I also found a fitted blazer for future job interviews. It was exactly what I was looking for & was only $15 - SCORE! We were there for practically two hours & pretty sure we bought out the place.
We also celebrated with presents & my homemade carrot cake.

I also picked up Disney's The Little Mermaid broadway soundtrack & the DVD of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Love Never Dies (the sequel to Phantom of the Opera...yes, sequel). I may or may not have a slight obsession with Sierra Boggess ever since watching the Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary at Royal Albert Hall on Netflix.

Saturday

I stopped at Target with my sister and, oddly enough, didn't find anything to buy...well, except my Starbucks :)

Sunday

We had family over for Easter dinner, which was yummy as can be. Grayson is getting so big & once you get Elliot to start talking, he'll keep going. And he definitely knows his country music. He loved that Miranda Lambert was playing when he got to our house. Love that little guy!
We just relaxed the rest of the day.

How was your weekend?

  1. Your weekend looks like it was delicious! Is that weird to say?

Happy Monday! (Well, it's Monday, so not really. But happy day anyway!)
