First of all, since when is it the last day of February?! Where have these first two months of 2013 gone? Oh yeah, I spent the majority of them studying....
I'm not sure if I'm the last person to hop on this "no heat" curls train, but it is amazing!
If you read Aunie's blog, you've probably seen this. I did not hear about it until maybe two weeks ago.
She calls it the "Friar Tuck".
Go here to watch her video about how to do it.
Basically, before going to bed, you spray your hair with a texturizing spray. You then put a stretchy headband around your forehead and take pieces of hair and wrap them around and through the headband.
You then sleep on it and the next morning you take the headband off and shake out your hair. Tame the curls. Aunie uses dry shampoo. I didn't have any that day (which I regretted the next morning, hence my buying some at Target). It looks like this after:
Yes, the curls did fall out a little by the end of the day (I also shoveled snow that day too, so maybe it stays longer if you don't shovel or whatever?), but this is literally the only way my hair has held curl. Using a curling iron only works on my hair when it is shorter or done by my stylist.
Anyway, you should really try this! So cute!
it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI can not operate a curling iron, so I definitely want to try this once my hair is a bit longer. Love how your hair turned out!
