Forgive my musical outburst....not to be cheesy or anything....
I'd like to take time to write a post all about my experience with eyeglasses.
In high school, I always struggled to read the projection screens in class. In one of my classes, I even faked writing the notes from the board and then copied them from a friend's notebook later; that is how bad my sight was!
Fast forward to last summer, I took my permit test (that's another post in itself) and then I had to test my sight. I thought "No problem!", but I failed it.
I went to the optomotrist the next day and they tested my eye sight and wrote me my first prescription for eye glasses. I was so nervous about getting glasses, after all, I still wanted to look cute! I did find an awesome pair of glasses that day, but was limited, because of my insurance, in the types of frames I could get for a cheap price.
This past June, I participated in the 20SB & GlassesUSA.com blog post about writing a letter to 5 years ago you. The winners received a free pair of glasses from GlassesUSA!
Of course, knowing me, I forgot to check back for the winner. One month later, I found out I won! I received a code to purchase whatever I wanted from the site up to $200!
Let me be the first to say, it is SO EASY to order glasses from GlassesUSA! You pick a pair of frames (from the HUNDREDS of brand names they offer!) and when you scroll to the bottom, you can simply enter your prescription information in the boxes provided OR you can even fax them your prescription & they can figure it all out for you! The glasses are wonderfully priced and shipping charges are a STEAL! And my glasses came, literally, like 2 days later!
(Forgive my scrubiness...but don't my glasses look cute?!)
These are the red Calvin Klein pair of frames I got. I also got the lens' protected and my purchase came with a classy eye glasses holder and cleaning cloth!
And I know what you're saying - "But how do I know if the pair of frames will look cute on me if I'm ordering them online?!"
Well, I have the solution! GlassesUSA has a Virtual Mirror Feature on their site. Basically, you're able to either choose a model with a similar face shape to yours or upload a picture of yourself onto the Feature. You can them choose from a bunch of frames to see what looks best on you! How cool is that?!
And my friends at GlassesUSA are giving me 2 discount codes for my readers!
You can enter the code FS15 for 15% off your entire order amount + FREE shipping on orders over $50!
OR
You can enter the code Blog10 to take 10% off any order of prescription glasses!
(Thank you so much to GlassesUSA, especially Elea for sponsoring this post!)
