Airing Grievances

I'd like to take a little time out of my regularly scheduled programming to air a grievance of mine that has come to a boiling point this morning:

Okay so I understand cleaning up a house to make things look presentable and neat. I'm a (mostly) organized and neat person. I don't like big messes and I like my things to look clean.

But there's a point where it's too much. Seriously, don't get angry over people possibly coming over later in the week because your house is "messy". You live in your house. You don't need to make your house look pristine or museum-like. YOU LIVE THERE. No one (realistically) expects your house to look like you don't move anything around! I can understand cleaning up a bit. Vacuuming (IF THERE IS SOMETHING ON THE GROUND!) could be done. Straightening up a bit. But vacuuming every other day when nothing is on the ground, and obsessively cleaning everything.
C'MON PEOPLE!

On a happier note - I have 33 followers WHAT?! I know that doesn't seem like a lot to some people (especially since I've been blogging for over 3 years), but at the beginning of the summer I had maybe 20??? So gaining 13 followers in a matter of 2.5 months, since I've been blogging consistently, is a pretty big deal. Thanks to all my new followers & hope you stick around!

And I'm linking up with Melissa @ The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife for GFC blog hop. Probably not the best post, but I think it's relatable? RIGHT?

Also, if you're a nursing student or thinking about going into nursing school or even students going off to college for the first time, I'm thinking about doing a vlog to answer any questions people may have about nursing school or nursing in general. Like best uniform questions, etc. Anything! Things to bring to college...whatever you choose. So you can leave them on here or tweet me @breannamf or e-mail me friebr01@luther.edu
If I get enough questions, I may just put up a vlog!

  3. Congrats on the 33 followers (now 35!), and I know how you feel about the cleaning the house thing. I definitely try to have my house presentable, but people have to understand that you live there and you don't clean all day. Usually people are cool about it, if not who cares, they don't have to come over! :) Just found your blog and have loved getting to know you better. I'm excited to follow along!

    new follower :)

  5. Sorry...totally screwed up that previous comment. Now let me try this again!

I found you through the blog hop and am now following :). I start nursing school in just a few weeks so I have some questions you can answer. I would LOVE to see a vlog! Great idea!

    1. Your thoughts on group study vs. studying by yourself
    2. Your recommendation on a clinical bag.
    3. Your best study tips...what worked for you and even what didn't work.
