Friday:
As some of you know, my family hosted a garage sale on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Talk about successful! Thursday was so busy; there was a constant stream of people. By Friday at noon, practically everything was gone. We ended up closing up early on Friday and having to cancel Saturday. In total, between the eight people who contributed items, we made $655.50!
Friday night, my aunt, mom, Hannah, Josh, and I went out for burgers and beer at Glynner's. I ended up getting a Bud Light Lime-a-Rita, which I've wanted to try for a while now. It was actually pretty good! We came home and I tuned into the Olympics Opening Ceremony. My favorite part was the House Party/music sequence.
Saturday:
Saturday afternoon/evening was my cousin's wedding reception out in Zumbrota. Such a fun time! So much good food and beverages including:
- Cantaloupe wrapped with Prosciutto
- Various foreign cheeses
- Tomato, Mozzerella, and Basil skewers
- Grilled Veggie Sandwiches with Cream Cheese
- Don't forget the beverages: Various flavors of Mike's Hard, Leine's, Ale, Twisted Tea, and wine.

Sunday:
Patty brought her dog Dakota over to play with Ford. So Ford spent most of the day like this:
The rest of the day, we went shopping for some of Hannah's college stuff. I came home and made Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Green Peppers for supper (from Pinterest!) and they were DELICIOUS!
The evening was spent watching swimming and gymnastics. Speaking of, what a bummer that Team USA missed the gold in the 4x100 relay by *this* much! And Poor Jordyn Wieber. Girl deserved a spot to compete for an All-Around medal. She is SO GOOD! If it wasn't for the unfair rule limiting 2 spots per country, USA would have 3 AMAZING gymnasts competing for that medal. I felt so bad when she started sobbing after she found out she lost by 0.3 points!
Can't wait for more swimming & gymnastics! Definitely my two favorite events!
This post is making me hungry and thirsty! Congrats on the garage sale - I'm about to do one myself. :)
