I can only imagine...

hand of stars Pictures, Images and Photos

Imagine if, just as loving parents desire their infant to learn to walk and not remain crawling for the rest of his life, God desired us to learn to spiritually walk, then run, then jump, then scale the most difficult mountain passes known to man.
Imagine if, just as loving parents desire their toddler to gain a vocabulary, God desired us to learn to talk with Him, then listen to Him, then talk for Him, then represent Him before the powers and rulers of this earth?
Imagine if, just as loving parents desire their three-year-old to learn to share his toys, God desired us to learn to love and give of ourselves, then sacrifice all our earthly comforts to build His kingdom, then even shed our blood for Him as a statement of the greatest love?
Imagine if there was so much more that God had in mind for us than we see modeled in the Christian community today. Imagine if He really did desire us to dream the impossible as little kids and then actually live the impossible out as adults.
Imagine if our relationship with the God of the universe was not just a dull religious routine but an endless frontier of possibility and adventure.
Today’s Christianity breeds settlers rather than pioneers. It breeds men and women that have stopped combing the wilds of God’s grace. And it’s time we as modern Christians realize that knowing Christ is an endless frontier - a frontier into which we have taken but one measly step.
