This Weekend I...

 

Friday

I did a little studying & got a 74% on the practice test I took! If you know NCLEX, you know that score is AWESOME! I also went to Kohls & my sister surprised us by coming home from school Friday night.

Saturday

We took my sister shopping for groceries and then brought her back to school Saturday afternoon because the weather on Sunday was supposed to be horrible.

Saturday night, I went to dinner at Newt's downtown for some burgers and beer with Beth & Sarah. Then we decided to head over to The Loop for cocktails and dessert. 

 We just realized last night that, in August, we will have been friends for 10 years!

The yummy cookies, ice cream, whip cream, & hot fudge dessert we shared. Amazing!

We were definitely missing Caitlin though so we saved her a spot.

 

I had a Coal Miner's Daughter cocktail. It had Bourbon, honey syrup, lemon juice, Blackberry Liquor, and orange bitters with blackberries on the bottom. It was very strong and very delicious.

I also ran into two of my nursing classmates on the way out! I was not expecting to see them & it was such a pleasant surprise!

Sunday

I had to restrain myself from sitting on the couch watching the Olivia Benson Law & Order SVU marathon all day! I didn't study at all Saturday so I had to buckle down & do something Sunday afternoon. The weather sucked majorly as well. Raining and sleeting all day. By 10am, there was already a layer of ice over everything!
